We can…we will…we must take that next step.
In this morining’s church service, we were priviledged to have three distinguished guest and members of their families, to worship with us. The Mayor of Bethlehem Israel, the President of Bethlehem Bible College and the Parish Priest of Belt Jala blessed us with their presence and inspiring words. It was a very motivating and encourageing service. Not only did our church extend to them a warm, loving welcome with applause and standing ovations as the Mayor spoke to us about the homeland of Jesus, but we were in turn invited to the wonderful land of Israel, where our precious Lord, Jesus was born.
We were encouraged to pray for peace for Israel and all over the world. Mayor Batararech mentioned the soon return of our Lord. We were reminded of these changing times in which we live. His message was well received. We were encouraged to allow the peace of God to penetrate our hearts and reach out to others with the peace that passes the understanding of this world. This peace is available to everyone who desires it’s presence in our lives.
My own comments as I reflect over that service are thoughts of so many who are stressed to extremism’s. We have too many people suffering from fears, depressions, anxiety and panic attacks, thoughts on suicide or just giving up, not knowing what they should or should not do or what they can do. I touched on these very issues and concerns in my book, ‘Answers For Your Questions,’ and how I personally managed to face my own uncertainties and connect with God’s peace to get me through.
I would like to encourage anyone reading this blog to open up and allow others to share your experiences with you and to know there are others who care and understand. Prayer is a comfort and strength that will enable us to take our next step and it will lead and guide us in the right direction. No matter what your faith, philosophy or views may be, there is an answer for you problems. If you are happy with where you are, you don’t have to look very far to find someone who isn’t. Your caring interest can make all the difference in the world for someone who may not be as fortunate as yourself. Let someone know you care. Reach out and touch a life. Be that one to offer a warm hand, a listening ear, a gentle touch, an encouraging word, or just a simple smile that might give just the message that’s needed to help anothers to keep going; to take that next step. The world can be a better place if we elect to be a part of the solution rather that to contribute to the problem. If we lean on each other, we will stand. If we lean alone, we will fall.
Blessings to you all,
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Sincerly, Gloria
